Assistant Manager, Chemical Business Team/ Sales & Marketing
Responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of sales and marketing strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in developing sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets.
- Work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and build strong business relationships to meet customer expectations. Liaison with vendor on the contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to optimize sales processes, systems and achieve a superior customer experience. Prepare meeting materials and perform business analysis/feasibility study for decision-making.
- Explore and develop new business opportunities to expand current market share.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients in chemical industry.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
- Negotiate and close agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Maintain a deep understanding of company’s chemical products, their applications, and their value propositions.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, sales activities, and forecasts.
Job Requirements
- Minimum degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Industrial Chemistry, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years and above of working experience in the related industries. Additional technical background will be an advantage for this position.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in chemical business development or sales, with direct exposure to international markets.
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management preferred.
- Proven track record in managing B2B relationships and closing business deals.
- Dynamic, analytical, and self-motivated with a pleasant personality.
- Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen, trustworthiness and professionalism.
